The students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade at Algood Elementary School have been learning about community helpers. They have talked about “Strangers You Can Trust” and “Strangers You Don’t Trust.” They’ve learned about calling 911 and other important tips for staying safe. Fireman Bruce, Sheriff Farris and other officers/members from the police department, fire department, EMT’s, rescue squad and emergency management were instructing the students on their departments and ways these “Strangers You Can Trust” can be of help to them and their families. The students waved as they paraded around the school in the different vehicles.
