Zaid Brifkani, M.D., a specialist in nephrology, has returned to the staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center and will be joining Cookeville Regional Medical Group after completing a fellowship in nephrology. Dr. Brifkani will be joining other CRMG specialists in the hospital’s Professional Office Building at 145 West 4th Street, Suite 201.
Dr. Brifkani completed medical school at Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica in 2008. He performed a residency in internal medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. He recently completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville as well as a renal transplant fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Brifkani has a special interest in transplant, diabetes kidney disease, and dialysis.
He is pleased to be in the Upper Cumberland region and looks forward to serving the medical needs of the region.
