Pink Gala Scheduled To Raise Funds for Free Mammograms

Cookeville, TN – The “Pink Gala” is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 24, 2015 at the Leslie Town Centre, in Cookeville, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Funds raised from the event will benefit the Pink Ribbon of Hope Save-a-Life Free Mammogram Program.

The Pink Ribbon Program at Cookeville Regional Medical Center offers free mammogram services to uninsured and underinsured residents of the Upper Cumberland. In total, nearly 500 residents received free mammogram services last year through this program. That represents an eleven percent increase in services from the prior year.

“We rely on events like the Pink Gala, and strong community partners, to fund our Pink Ribbon program. With the increase in services last year, it is critical that we boost fundraising efforts this year in order to continue to provide this potentially life-saving service to our community,” said John Bell, Director of the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation.

The Pink Gala is a black-tie event and will kick-off with a cocktail hour, reception and formal dancing with live music from the Four Horns Jazz Ensemble. The evening will include a four-course meal, silent and live auctions, patient testimonials, and conclude with two hours of dancing and music led by a DJ with 5Diamond Productions. Philip Gibbons will emcee the evening.

Tickets are $80 per person, $150 per couple or $600 per table of eight guests. Tickets are pre-sale only. No tickets will be available at the door.
