This past season, a volleyball club was started in the Cookeville area by
Sarah Marquez. We have 5 teams, a total of 50 girls from Cookeville,
Sparta, Baxter, Livingston, Carthage and Crossville, 4 of them just
finished the Southern Region Volleyball Association Regionals
tournament in Atlanta, GA. The Southern Region consists of Alabama,
Georgia and Tennessee. Clubs from all 3 of these states competed in a
Regional Tournament for bids to compete at Nationals.
Our 14-Black team went undefeated into the Final 8, losing only one
match that left them in 5th place out of 90 teams this weekend and our
16-Black team finished 9th out of 82 teams.
