Citizens Police Academy Graduates

The Cookeville Police Department recently graduated the 31st class of the Citizens Police Academy on Monday, May 23, 2016. The Spring 2016 class received their diplomas after successfully completing the 10-week program that is designed to provide a better understanding between the department and the public. It takes students “behind the scenes” to see what an officer’s life is really like: from the excitement of catching the bad guy to the frustrations of dealing with repeat offenders.

The graduates and members of the Cookeville Police Department are from left to right: Director Sergeant Anthony Leonard, Assistant Director Sheila Julian, Kathleen VanDyck, Bethany Maynard, Jessica Clark, Michael Clark, Melissa Henry, Natalie East, Emily Keifer, Gary Bodenstein, Tracey Hackett, Chasity Howard, Tim Knipp, Lavern Curry, Jarrod Goodwin, James Mayberry, Heather Thomas, Dennis Foley, Ricky Jackson, Dusty Clouse, Brian Maffett, and Major Ken Sircy.
