Mended Little Hearts of Upper Cumberland, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and children affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD). Mended Little Hearts of Upper Cumberland and Heart Heroes are thrilled to announce the first annual Superhero Heart Run of Upper Cumberland on August 27, 2016 at Tennessee Tech University. The Superhero Heart Run is a superhero-themed 5k/2k event aimed at raising awareness for CHD.
Funds raised from this event will support Heart Heroes and Mended Little Hearts of the Upper Cumberland. Our group was recently approved to provide all pediatric heart surgery patients at Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital with Bravery bags, and this will help fund that. Also, we recently delivered a Bravery Chest filled with toys to Dr. Thomas’ pediatric cardiology clinic in Cookeville and would love to be able to provide others with the same! Funds will benefit families in our Upper Cumberland area!
