Algood Middle School Soccer Wins Conference Championship

This is our fifth conference championship in the last six years.  In this year’s playoff, we beat Avery Trace 2-1 and Overton County 3-2.  In the consolation game, Macon County beat Avery Trace 2-1 for third place in the conference.  The UCMSSC (Upper Cumberland Middle School Soccer Conference) includes 11 teams:  Algood, Avery Trace, Prescott, Upperman, Cumberland County, Fentress County, Overton County, Smith County, DeKalb County, Macon County, and Jackson County.

Conference Champions! Wow, what a game! Being down to an undefeated Overton County 2-1 at the half the AMS Lady Redskins came back and won 3-2! We finished the season with a conference record of 9 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie. Overall, our record is 11 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie. I am proud to be the coach of these great young ladies. This also would not have been possible without the help of some great assistant coaches (Tammara Brown, Seth Hudson, Mariano Battaglia, and Davis Draper).
