Breaking Cheerleading News From CCHS

The Cumberland County High School Cheerleaders won 5th place in the Large Varsity Non Tumbling Game Day Competition at the National High School Cheerleading Championship on Sunday, February 12th at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The CCHS team gained this opportunity to compete at the National Competition with a bid when they won the TSSAA Game Day State Championship for Tennessee at MTSU in November.

The National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country. It is held each year at the Wald Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, and nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes in 32 countries and nationwide each year. The Championship is also streamed live on Varsity TV on Varsity.com.

The CCHS Squad members are: Haven Davis, Kaitlyn Lee, Kassie Looschen, Rhianna Mann, Emiliee King, Shae Miller, Kadie Edmonds, Maggie Spriggs, Liv Stewart, Sheridan Roberts, Ashley Burke, Kayla Ashburn, Maggie Delaney, Samira Allaf, Tyler Evans, Audree Kerley and Cassidy Wyatt.

Coaches are Melissa Kerley, Bekki Atkinson and Cheryl Threet.
