Drought Assistance Program

Important Information if you have losses from the Drought of 2016

Producers who have experienced losses from the drought of 2016 may be eligible for partial funding through the Agriculture Resources Conservation fund. Putnam County Soil Conservation will assist TDA in administering funding. The planting of annual grasses are eligible for spring seeding. Permanent grasses are not eligible through this program. Sign up will begin immediately through March 20, 2017.
Applications and a packet explaining program must be picked up and returned to the Soil Conservation office located at 900 S. Walnut Avenue, Cookeville, TN. TDA Watershed Coordinator will make a site visit and determine eligibility upon receiving application.
