TRAFFIC FATALITY CLAIMS THE LIFE OF CROSSVILLE TEEN

PRESS RELEASE

On Monday June 5, 2017, at approximately 2pm, a traffic crash on the 1900 block of Peavine Road, in Crossville, TN, claimed the life of a local resident and closed Peavine Road to traffic for several hours.

18 year old Crossville Resident, Dade P. Brown was driving a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse southbound on Peavine Road, in the rain. Brown lost control of the vehicle in a curve, and was unable to prevent the vehicle from crossing into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a 2008 Toyota Tundra, driven by Fairfield Glade resident, 68 year old Gary Storer.

Dade P. Brown was killed in the collision. Gary Storer and passenger Barbara Storer, were both transported by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center and then onto University of Tennessee Trauma Center for treatment of incapacitating injuries.

Peavine Road was cleared of debris and reopened for traffic at approximately 6pm. Any questions should be directed to the Crossville Police Department 931-484-7231.
