A Parade of Honor introduced the many veterans in attendance as Upperman High School honored them with a program. The guest were welcomed and recognized by UHS Assistant Principal, Mr. Greg Wilson. A moment of silence was shared to remember the MIA/POW’s and men and women who serve protecting our country.
UHS JROTC presented the colors, National Anthem by UHS Chorus directed by Mrs. Chelsey Brown and “America, the Beautiful” was performed by UHS Band of Gold, Directed by Mr. Kyle Netherton.
Guest Speakers were SSG Justin Birdwell speaking on the history of Veteran’s Day and Mr. Damon Corley WWII Navy Veteran on the importance of Veteran’s Day.
