UCR New Year’s Resolutions
It’s the beginning of the new year and everyone has resolutions on their minds and the Upper Cumberland Reporter is no exception. Beginning this year will be the UCR’s fifth year online and we want to make it a big one! Our goal is, and alway has been, to bring timely and accurate information to the Upper Cumberland region and this year we are pulling out all the stops.
Starting soon, the UCR will be introducing our Obituary page. We are collaborating with local funeral homes and other businesses to ensure that all loved ones can be remembered. Feel free to contact the UCR directly to place an obituary, Card of Thanks or an In Memory photo on our website or you can also contact one of our local funeral homes.
We are also introducing our brand new page called “Explore the U.C.”. The page that used to be known as “Food and Entertainment” has gotten an upgrade with the ringing in of the new year! This page will not only feature local restaurants but also shopping, events and ways to find adventure in your own backyard!
With this page, there will also be a segment called “Hiking With UCR” which will feature our writer, Brittany, traveling to various hiking locations across the Upper Cumberland and even taking suggestions from you on where she should go next. Also, with this new segment we want you to be featured as well! As you venture out into the great outdoors, send us a picture with your name and where you are and you could be featured on our website and social media pages!
