COOKEVILLE, T.N.,– Officials say a Cookeville woman attempted to hide evidence of her crime by ingesting drugs at the jail.

Jessyca White, 25, of Hermitage, TN, had been arrested previously for Criminal Impersonation and had been cited for drug paraphernalia.  Officials say she was at the Putnam County Jail when she began acting strangely. Deputies questioned White on her behavior and she allegedly admitted that a man she was with had given her 1.7 grams of methamphetamines.

According to the report, White swallowed all of the meth the male had given her to avoid both of them getting extra charges. When deputies asked the male about the incident, the co-defendant corroborated the story.

White was charged with Tampering With/Fabricating Evidence.
