COOKEVILLE, T.N., — The Executive Director of the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency is being investigated for falsifying time sheets.

According to a report by News Channel 4 in Nashville, TN, one government official has been away on vacations while saying he was hard at work in his office. The news station says Executive Director Luke Collins was at lunches, on cruises and doing personal interests when he was reportedly still on the company clock.

The report goes on to say that Collins, a salaried employee of UCHRA with a yearly income of $90,000. has been letting his responsibilities slip for years now. News Channel 4 says Collins came and went as he pleased.  Documents received by the news station say Collins was recorded to be away from his office close to 120 times.

This is still an active investigation and the Tennessee Comptroller of of the Treasurer has taken the case.

Randy Porter, Putnam County Executive and UCHRA board member had this to say,

These allegations sound very serious and concerning. It is no secret that I publicly have had concerns about the management of UCHRA for some time. Unfortunately I cannot comment on an ongoing active investigation. The UCHRA board is scheduled to meet next Tuesday morning and hopefully all of this will be addressed at that time.”

As this is an active investigation, we will continue to update as the information is provided.
