    WCTE Presents Throwback Thursday Programming

    COOKEVILLE, TN – WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS continues to celebrate 40 years in the Upper Cumberland by introducing Throwback Thursday programming each Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Come along with WCTE as the station revisits some of its most memorable documentaries and programs.

    Throwback Thursday begins on March 29 with Change of Heart: Ryan Dalton and the Street Children of Cape Town (2004), which tells the story of Cookeville native Ryan Dalton and his work with young people who live on the streets in Cape Town, South Africa.
    Tune in for two classic WCTE docs about Hippie Jack in April. Snapshot: Life through the Lens of Jack Stoddart (2005) airs on April 5 at 7:00 p.m. and follows Stoddart as he talks of his move from Miami to raise a family and
    establish a fine art gallery in Crawford, TN.
    On April 12, tune in again at 7:00 p.m. for Hippie & Friends (2006), and watch as Stoddart revisits the site of
    the original commune he relocated to in 1970 on the Upper Cumberland Plateau.
    Also, on April 26 at 7:00 p.m. watch The Story of Rugby (1989), a WCTE classic that delves into the rich and extraordinary history of Rugby, Tennessee.
