Two Found Asleep In Stolen Vehicle At Local Gas Station

COOKEVILLE, T.N. — Cookeville Police respond to a call to the Exxon gas station on Spring Street. When the officer arrived, he found a man and woman asleep within the vehicle.

According to reports, Tia Fabri, 30 and Corey Bailey, 27, were asleep in a vehicle and a welfare check had been called on. Allegedly, the vehicle came back as being stolen from Cumberland County.

Allegedly, after contact was made the driver, Fabri, seemed to be hiding narcotics. A search revealed Fabri to be in possession of a small baggie of crystalline substance believed to be Meth and numerous pills identified as Subutex. Fabri’s license, according to the warrant, was suspended in 2017 in Warren County,Tn, for failure to pay child support.

The passenger, Bailey, was allegedly found with a marijuana cigarette.

Fabri has been charged with Theft, two counts of Simple Possession/ Casual Exchange and Suspended or Revoked Driver’s License. The total bond is set at $8,000.
