It was a great year (July-June) for construction in Putnam County. With 339 permits
issued, that was a 19% increase from last year. Of those 339 permits, 209 were for brand
new construction of single family residential homes which is a 15% increase from last
year’s 176 new homes. Keep in mind, this is outside in the County and does not include the
cities.
Even with the building boom, the real estate market inventory is still low according to most
agents I talk to.
Not for sure how long the boom will last, but for now it is still in full force.
