“Whoville” Cookeville???????

As Chairman of the Parade Committee, I wanted to get you the details of this year’s upcoming parade.

The parade committee has decided t
his year will be all about the kids having a blast and making memories! Our family fun-focused theme for 2018 is “Whoville”. This whimsical theme will guide kids in our community on a journey into the land of the “Whos”, Mount Crompit, Cindy Lou, Max, Mayor Augustus Maywho, and of course, the Grinch!

The parade this year will not only be loads of fun for our children, but very meaningful as well because it will be dedicated to the families of the 278th who are currently deployed. Special accommodations will be made to spotlight the families and to show how much we appreciate our military personnel. The 278th is currently deployed in Poland.

There will be over $3,000 in prize money for winning floats this year in 7 categories including large business, small business, Schools, non-profits, churches, clubs and more.

This will be such a fun theme to decorate with, so use your imagination and get your employer, non-profit, school, church or club to enter a float. Application packets will be available soon and there is no entry fee. Its going to be a great parade, so stay tuned for more details!!
