TSSAA has had several calls inquiring about the “November Classification Meeting” time and location. THERE WILL NOT BE A CLASSIFICATION MEETING AS THE BOARD OF CONTROL HAS HAD IN THE PAST. Classification is set and will not be discussed at the November meeting.
Schools have been asked to take a look at where the TSSAA Board of Control and staff have placed them in every sanctioned sport they offer. If a school does not agree and feels they have justification as to why they would be better served in another District/Region, they can submit a request in writing to appeal before the full Board during their next scheduled meeting on Thursday, November 17, 2016. If a request to appeal is submitted in writing, the state office will set a time for the administration to appear before the Board. SCHEDULING MEETINGS SHOULD NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL AFTER THE BOARD MEETING ON NOVEMBER 17TH.
