Golden Eagle Golf Course was the setting for the CHS District Golf Tournament
The rainy, cool and wet conditions did not cause any major downs for the Cavaliers and Lady Cavs
The Cavaliers shot a fabulous 294 to take the District Championship!
Leading the charge for Cookeville was Jared Funderburk with a 69, close behind was Will Dycus and Luke Caldwell carding 74’s and Bryce Turnbow chipping in a 77.
Cumberland County came in 2nd with White County coming in 3rd. All three teams qualified for the Region Tournament.
In girls action the Lady Cavs got a big ray of sunshine on this gloomy day to knock off Livingston in a playoff to claim 3rd place to quality for regionals. The Lady Warriors from White County lead by medalist Mackenzie Morton’s 72 won the district championship with a team total of 164 followed by runner up Soddy Daisy carding a 170.
The Lady Cavs led by Hope Homar’s 84 turned in a score of 174.
