Suspect Arrested after Armed Robbery

Cookeville, TN – At approximately 12:40 AM, September 10th, an armed robbery was reported at The Market located at 1569 West Broad Street. Employees reported that a black male wearing all black clothing and a bandanna covering his face entered the store. After entering the store, he
threatened the clerks with a handgun and demanded money. The victims complied and the
suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cookeville officers arrived and discovered evidence on the scene that led them to the residence
of 20-year-old Horace Nunley. He was taken to the Cookeville Police Department and charged
with aggravated robbery after an investigation by Detective Justin Long. He was transported to
the Putnam County jail with a total bond set at $50,000. The firearm and money were recovered during the investigation.

We are very proud of our officers for the fast response and apprehension of Nunley. Their hard
work has taken another dangerous criminal off the streets.
