Heavenly Host Lutheran School Choir Participates in 9/11 Memorial Event

A group of 17 students from Heavenly Host Lutheran School participated in the Cookeville Remember and Reflect 9/11 Memorial on Thursday, September 10th. The group, which included students in grades 3-8, sang two songs as part of the remembrance events, conducted by music teacher Katie Alms-
Rudy.
The first song, “Dona Nobis Pacem,” which means “Give us peace” in Latin, was sung in a round without any accompaniment. The second song, “America, My Home,” included an orchestral
accompaniment on a CD. The students have been practicing for this event for a month and were excited to share their music with the community.
