COOKEVILLE, T.N. — The Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Golf Classic is scheduled for August 18 and 19 at the Cookeville Golf Club. The CRMC Golf Classic includes golf flights offered on Thursday and Friday, and a celebrity dinner event on Thursday evening. This year we will welcome celebrity guest Bill Buckner, formerly of the Red Sox and Chicago Cubs, as our dinner speaker and tournament guest.
The Golf Classic is the largest public event for CRMC and the largest fundraising event for Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. This past year, the Foundation was able to assist over 2,000 Upper Cumberland patients with needs including medication, transportation, diagnostic screenings, groceries, medical equipment and many other critical items. Patients receiving assistance include pediatric, diabetes, cancer, heart, hospice and many other patient groups. Proceeds from the CRMC Golf Classic will provide funding for Foundation programs and services, with a special emphasis on the Cancer Care Fund, Pink Ribbon-Free Mammogram Project, and Caring Hands-Patient Assistance Fund.
