Landri Wilcox Wins KYA’s Tennessee State Middle School Championships
Congratulations to Landri Wilcox, a student at Avery Trace Middle School, who won the State Middle School Championship varsity race at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville with a time of 12:18.65. She finished twelve seconds ahead of the second place runner. The girls varsity race was hosted by Kentucky Youth Athletics and included 31 teams and 308 runners. Cookeville’s varsity girl’s team placed 16th and the boys team placed 22nd out of 30 teams. The lead runner for the Cookeville Middle Schools boy’s team was Keith Wiley who placed 133rd out of 325 runners with a time of 13:17.12. The lead runner for the White County Middle School Team was Abigail Welch in 103rd place with a time of 15:05.01. Great job teams!!
