Breaking Sports News from UHS: Coach Herron Submits Resignation

December 5, 2017

It is with much regret that Upperman High School announces the resignation of Head Football Coach Ben Herron. Coach Herron has been at the helm of the Bee Football program for the past 7 seasons.  Under his leadership the Bees advanced to the State Semi Finals in 2013. The Bees also finished the regular season with a perfect 10 – 0 record and during the past 5 seasons the Bees advanced to the State Playoffs. Herron leaves the Head Coach position of his alma mater with the most wins in school history, posting a record of48 – 26.

Upperman High School and the Community of Baxter Appreciate the efforts and hard work of Coach Herron.  He has invested countless hours into the young men that have played at UHS while he has served as Coach. It will be a very hard task to fill the position with someone who loves the school and community like Coach Herron.

UHS Administrators will open a Coaching search to fill the Head Coaching Position. Our goal is to hire a head coach that will continue the student-athletes development of the 4 pillars Truth, Honor, Loyalty and Service.
