Break-In Actually A Hallucination

CROSSVILLE, T.N., — A man who claimed to have been assaulted and robbed at his own home is arrested in turn.

On Friday, Jan. 12, a Crossville man, Dustin France, 29, claimed to have been attacked in his own home. According to the report, France entered the Justice Center in Crossville and reported that an African- American male had broken into his residence, assaulted him and then pointed a “.380 pistol at him.” France also reportedly told officers that the assailant was driving a “white diesel truck.”

Police were dispatched to France’s residence and upon arrival took notice of a white truck that was like France’s description. According to the report, police found no traces of any crimes that France had described. Upon returning to the Justice Center, France allegedly confessed to smoking methamphetamine and had hallucinated all that had occurred.

France was arrested for for Public Intoxication and False report.
