Man Charged With Aggravated Assault After Hitting Victim With Jar Of Peanut Butter

COOKEVILLE, T.N. — A Cookeville man is being charged with aggravated assault after police say he hit another man with various items including a jar of peanut butter.

Austin Miller, 63, was charged with aggravated assault from the incident that happened on January 10th.

According to the report, an acquaintance of Miller came to his home and the two men got into an argument.  That’s when police say Miller allegedly got angry when the other man wouldn’t buy Miller more alcohol.

Allegedly, Miller then started punching the victim before hitting him with a glass mug, an ashtray, oil container and a jar of peanut butter.

The victim reportedly received a cut over his right eye, a bloody nose and various knots on his head.
