Daniel 1 Academy Lions split a pair of games on Monday. D1A hosted the Falcons of Franklin Christian Academy. The D1A boys JV team was defeated by FCA JV team 46-50. Scoring by quarters:

Before the boys high school game, four seniors were recognized on Senior night. The seniors recognized were Joey Smith, Blake Smith, Josiah Watson and Garret Woodside. Each senior was accompanied by his parents in a ceremony that allowed the senior to announce his plans after graduation, his favorite memories of playing basketball for D1A and some words of wisdom for his teammates. Each senior was also presented with a basketball signed by teammates.
In the boys high school game, the Lions prevailed over the Falcons by a score of 44-33. Scoring by quarters:

Scoring for D1A: Garret Woodside 17 (11 reb, 4 ast, 5 blocks), Luke Welte 8 (7 reb), Josiah Watson 7 (9 reb), Carson Vaughn 7 (4 steals), Blake Smith 4 (5 steals).
D1A is now 18-8 on the season. They will host their last game of the regular season at Cane Creek Rec Center on Friday, Feb. 16. It will be against Covenant Academy from McMinnville. The JV game starts at 6 PM with the high school game immediately following.
