Crossville Police Recognize Dispatches With Awards

During a presentation ceremony, the City of Crossville Police Department proudly recognized several Crossville – Cumberland County Central Communications dispatchers with awards. The awards were presented to recognize our agency partners who go above and beyond what is required in their job descriptions as well as going the extra mile to help protect the citizens of our community.

On Saturday, February 3, 2018, a Robbery alarm came into the Crossville – Cumberland County Central Communications Center from the Upper Cumberland Federal Credit Union. Dispatch supervisors Brandon Patton and Patricia Seagraves and dispatchers Amanda Pugh, Chris Cox and Georgie Heller were on duty. Due to the quick actions of all dispatch personnel and law enforcement officers, the getaway vehicle and suspect were identified and tracked to a location in Nashville, Tennessee where the suspect was subsequently taken into custody and stolen cash was recovered. All of this superior work was accomplished in one hour, fifty nine minutes, from the time of occurrence.

A great example of leadership was demonstrated by dispatch supervisor Brandon Patton in this matter; and, dispatch supervisor, Patricia Seagraves provided additional information to the Federal Bureau of Investigations Special Agents which possibly linked the suspect in this Robbery to other similar robberies.

Additionally, dispatchers Amanda Pugh, Chris Cox and Georgie Heller used their talents, skills and experience to provide immediate and accurate information that led to the capture of the suspect and recovery of stolen money. It is with great appreciation that we present all of these dispatchers with certificates of appreciation and challenge coins.

A special thank you and congratulations goes out to all of the award recipients. Job well done!
