COOKEVILLE – Registration for Cookeville Leisure Services’ fall co-ed recreation and men’s softball leagues continues through July 27.
Teams for both National Softball Association slow-pitch leagues will play a 14-game schedule at the Cane Creek SportsPlex, 2200 W. Jackson St. Men’s league teams will play Monday evenings beginning Aug. 6, while co-ed recreation teams (consisting of five males and five females) play Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Aug. 7.
“It’s a fun time to get together with friends and teammates to enjoy the game while also sharpening your softball skills,” Jim Crea, Leisure Services athletics superintendent, said.
Players must be at least 18 years old. Team fees are $330, plus a $20 sanction fee and $80 team player fee.
A coaches meeting is scheduled for Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Cane Creek SportsPlex.
