Lighting Strike In Crossville Leaves Thousands Without Power

CROSSVILLE, T.N. – Close to 10,000 people are without power this morning in the Crossville area due to a lighting strike to a power substation.

According to reports, the Volunteer Energy Cooperative says that residents in the Crossville, Lake Tansi and Crab Orchard areas are without power. Crews are on scene working to fix the problem. At this time, no update has been given to when the power will be restored.

A reminder, don’t call 911 to report a power outage. Please call your local electric company and they will respond as soon as they can.
