We just completed our first year since we did the TDEC Energy Savings Grant that changed out a lot of our light bulbs to LED. We did four buildings and the savings are as follows:
Community Center – 11%
Justice Center – 15%
EMS/911 Center – 9%
Agriculture Building – 44% (replaced roof and HVAC system also)
I thought those were some great numbers and well worth all the work. The grant provided the funds to purchase the bulbs and our maintenance department installed them as our in-kind match to the grant. The Courthouse had already been done with a previous grant. With the School system just finishing its LED project, that has most of the major county buildings on LED.
