Woman Found Asleep In Krystal Drive-Thru

COOKEVILLE, T.N. – A Buffalo Valley Woman was found by the Cookeville Police Department asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle in the Cookeville Krystal Drive-Thru.

 

On August 10th, Ginger Smith, 48, was approached by the CPD where the officer, according to the report, stated that Smith had delayed motor skills, slurred speech and difficulty staying awake. Allegedly, Smith admitted to taking Subutex earlier that day.

 

According to the warrant, Smith was asked to perform some field sobriety tests but refused. Smith also allegedly refused to an implied consent test and was found to be driving without insurance and driving on a revoked license. After a search of the car, the officer found five Xanax pills.

 

Smith is charged with Driving on Suspended or revoked Driver’s License, Simple Possession/ Casual Exchange, No Insurance, Implied Consent and Driving Under the Influence. He total bond is set at $1,000.

 

All parties are innocent until proven guilty.
