The conditions for the first round of the TSSAA Large School State Golf Tournament were less than favorable with wet, rainy and windy conditions. Regardless the Cavaliers pushed forward battling through it all as well as the players they were competing against.  After all the drives, chips and putts were carded CHS had a respectable score of 320.

Jared Funderburk fires a 77, Will Dycus carded a 79, Luke Caldwell chipped in an 81 while Ethan Vanstratam scored an 83 and Bryce Turnbow shot an 88.

Day 2 – The Cavs were looking to improve their scores and make a run for the championship. But, old mother nature ended up winning by raining out round 2.  So, according to TSSAA rules if 18 holes are completed during round 1 and round 2 gets cancelled all scores from the first round will determine the team and individual winners.
