Boost Mood With Leisure Services October Fitness Classes

COOKEVILLE – October is an ideal time to start a new fitness routine.

“As we move into fall and days get shorter, people tend to feel less motivated,” Jen Webb, Cookeville Leisure Services special programs coordinator, said. “Exercise is a fantastic way to produce endorphins and increase energy and mood.”

Leisure Services is offering 38 classes per week at the Cane Creek Recreation Center, 180 C C Camp Road. Classes are $3 each (unless otherwise noted), and the first one is free. Participants may drop in; no membership fees or contracts are required. Fit Cards may be purchased for $30, which allow 11 visits for the price of 10. Gift certificates and corporate packages are also available.

Webb said one of the best things about group fitness is the encouragement it offers.

“We’re here to welcome you and help you reach your goals,” she said.
