Avery Trace Middle School paid special tribute to our Veterans on November 12, 2018.
Members of the ATMS Band, Directed by Mr. Tony Hibbard and ATMS Chorus, Directed by Mr. Brandon Fletcher presented patriotic songs.
The JROTC Color Guard from CHS presented the flags. A special thanks went out to Mr. Matt Niggeler and the teachers from the Social Studies Department for all their work in preparing the event.
The keynote speaker, Colonel Michael L. Jones, who is the brother of their own Ms. Alma Anderson, gave an outstanding, emotional and motivating speech.
Miss Adeleine Moore, Student Council Vice-President, recited a poem in honor of all veterans but especially directed to her grandfather.
