Congratulations to Ms. Kayla Flatt, 4th grade math teacher at Sycamore Elementary! She has won the Sanford Teacher Award for the state of Tennessee!!! This award recognizes teachers that exemplify inspiring teaching through their enthusiasm for teaching, empathy and warmth toward all students, fostering positive relations with all students, creating positive learning environments and recognizing student strengths. In addition to the wonderful recognition, she is also receiving $10,000, and will be in the running for the National Award to be announced in January. Congratulations, Ms. Flatt!
