COOKEVILLE-PUTNAM COUNTY CHRISTMAS PARADE POSTPONED

“A Cookeville Storybook Christmas Parade” postponed to Tuesday, December 11

 

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. –  Due to the predicted weather forecast, the Cookeville-Putnam County Christmas Parade has been postponed to 7:00 p.m. CT, Tuesday, December 11.

 

The Cookeville-Putnam County Christmas Parade committee met twice this week to finalize details and discuss the potential of rain and a wintry mix in the forecast. In coordination with the National Weather Service, the committee decided to postpone the parade to Tuesday, December 11.

 

Parade Chairman, Randy Porter, said, “The decision to postpone the parade was one that was not made lightly. There are many moving parts to an event of this size, and our committee took many things into consideration. Our main concern is the safety of participants, spectators, and all involved. We look forward to a another successful parade on Tuesday, and invite everyone to join us.”

 

Please note the start time of the parade has been pushed to 7:00 p.m. CT
