PUTNAM COUNTY, TN (December 12, 2018): Yesterday a multi-agency drug operation conducted in Putnam County resulted in twelve arrests out of the 35 individuals indicted on drug related charges.
On December 7th, the Putnam County Grand Jury indicted 35 individuals for illegal drug activity. The men and women indicted are between the ages of 18 – 60 years old, and their charges range from sale and delivery of marijuana to sale and delivery of heroin, methamphetamine, oxycodone and Subutex. These indictments and arrests are a direct result of the diligent undercover work of multiple law- enforcement agents. Participating agencies and organizations include: DEA, Office of the Inspector General, TBI, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Cookeville Police Department, Algood Police Department, Baxter Police Department, Monterey Police Department, US Marshals Service and the 13th Judicial
Drug Task Force.

Sheriff Farris has a message for anyone conducting illegal drug activity in Putnam County.
“Illegal drug activity will not be tolerated. Anyone involved in such activities will be found out and
