Updated Release:
The deceased is identified as 23-year-old Paul Hamilton Ten Eyck of Maryville Tennessee. This investigation is ongoing awaiting autopsy results.

Our officers responded a residence of an unconscious person. Once on scene officers assisted with CPR until ambulance personnel arrived. The 23-year-old male victim was transported to the local hospital where he expired. We have not confirmed if the victim was affiliated with Tennessee Tech and we are withholding his name until we can confirm family has been notified. At this time, there are no obvious signs of foul play and we are awaiting autopsy results. The case is under investigation and we will provide more information once the investigation is complete.
