Our 2017-2018 audit was released today by the Comptroller’s office and for the 2nd year in a row, Putnam County received a “clean” audit with no findings.
I want to thank our Elected Officials, Department Heads and county employees, especially the ones who deal with the finances of the county, for an excellent job again this year. The clean audit is a TEAM effort. We were pretty sure last year that Putnam County had never received a clean audit and we are almost positive it has never happened two consecutive years in a row.
We continually work to achieve the best financial records possible for the County and to always be transparent to the citizens our county. We have a great group of people and we are all ecstatic at the success we have had in fixing past findings and receiving a clean audit for two years in a row.
I think this speaks very highly of Putnam County’s finances and the great job everyone is doing!!
