Sheriff’s Office Apprehends Man Wanted for Murder

Press release from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN (January 29, 2019): the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man wanted in Coffee County for First Degree Murder. Miguel Sanders, 45, of Nashville, TN was wanted for two counts of First-Degree Murder, two counts Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Kidnapping, Tampering with Evidence, Coercion of a Witness, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Assault and Employing a Firearm during Commission of a Dangerous Felony. Sanders was rumored to be hiding somewhere in Putnam County.

On January 24 th , PCSO Warrant’s Division received a tip regarding Sanders whereabouts. Lieutenant Patrick Storie responded to the call and spotted Sanders in a parking lot on 16th Street. Lt. Storie, Sgt. Jeremy Nash and several Cookeville Police Department Officers searched the apartments and found Sanders with Sarah Helton. Helton, 35, was wanted for sale and delivery of meth in Putnam County. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail.

PCSO had arrested Autumn Nichols, 38, Janna Nichols, 32, and Adam Cashion, 31, at a residence on Lollar Road in Baxter, TN the previous day in connection with this case.
– Miguel Sanders was charged with evading arrest and transported to Overton County. His bond was set at $750,000.
– Sarah Helton was charged with sale and delivery of meth. Her bond was set at $50,000.
– Autumn Nichols was transported to Overton County for violation of probation.

– Adam Cashion was charged with failure to appear and violation of probation. His bond was set at $5,000.
