Algood Mayor Awards Key of the City to Burbank,CA.

ALGOOD, TN — On her last trip to the California coast, Mayor Lisa Chapman-Fowler awarded the city of Burbank, California, a Key to the City of Algood.

If you asked who her favorite person was, Mayor of Algood Lisa Chapman-Fowler wouldn’t hesitate to tell you that it would be her granddaughter, Camila.

Chapman-Fowler’s son and daughter-in-law, and little Camila, live in Burbank, California, over 2,000 miles away! Both work in the City of Burbank Parks and Recreation Department.

On January 15th, 2019, Mayor Chapman-Fowler attended the City Council Meeting in Burbank and was able to speak to the Vice-Mayor,Sharon Springer, due to Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy being unable to attend. In a small presentation Chapman-Fowler gave a plaque to Burbank in regards to their courteousness and friendliness.

“I wanted to show my appreciation to a city that made me feel as welcome as Algood does,” said Mayor Chapman-Fowler. “The council has welcomed me each time I have visited Burbank. The Mayor has been extremely helpful in the areas of park planning, one of her specialties, senior center ideas and beautification projects. I have been able to tour their facilities and anything I’ve had questions about they have gone above and beyond to provide the necessary information. Because they have been so generous to share their City, I felt it only right to present the Council with a Key to the City of Algood.”
