Two Arrested in Separate ICAC Investigations

On May 18, 2018, a search warrant was executed at the residence of 40-year-old Christopher Dale Caudill of Cookeville by the Cookeville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. This search warrant was part of an active investigation that resulted in evidence being presented to the Putnam County Grand Jury. On February 4, 2019 Mr. Caudill was arrested and charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. His bond was set at $150,000.00.

On March 6, 2019, detectives assigned to the ICAC unit arrested 37-year-old Phillip Andrew Dial of Columbia, TN. Mr. Dial solicited a law enforcement officer (posing as a minor) for sexual activity during an undercover internet investigation. Following evidence being presented to the Putnam County Grand Jury, he was indicted on charges of Solicitation of a Minor for Rape of a Child and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor by Electronic Means. He was arrested after turning
himself in. Mr. Dial’s bond was set at $50,000.

These arrests were the result of multiple agencies working together to protect our children. Both the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department assisted with these investigations.
