The UMS Jacket Jam is our school’s newest PTO fundraiser. The Jacket Jam will take place on Wednesday, May 8 with a rain date of Wednesday, May 15. The students will be fundraising by collecting money from family, friends and neighbors for their participation in our run/walk event.
Please note this is a one-time donation and not multiplied by the number of laps that students run.
The day of the Jacket Jam, students will have an assigned time according to their grade level to go outside and walk/run laps around around the Upperman High School track. Students who are more competitive will have the opportunity to have the number of laps they complete counted/recorded on their lap card for chances to win additional prizes.
There will also be an outside lunch at the track, along with a DJ and numerous other games and fun events. Families are encouraged to attend this exciting day! Each student should have received a pledge sheet along with an attached envelope and can begin collecting money ASAP! Cash or checks made payable to UMS PTO should be turned in to the student’s homeroom teacher NO LATER THAN FRIDAY FRIDAY, MAY 3RD!

$40 – Lazy Cow Creamery ice cream truck visit during recess (double scoop of any flavor of ice cream in your choice of bowl or a cone), a Jackets Jam T-shirt and entry to the Jacket Jam gladiator games and events.
$80 – “Candy Buffett plus the Lazy Cow Creamery ice cream truck visit during recess, Jackets Jam T-shirt and entry to the Jacket Jam gladiator games and events.
$120 – Party during school with pizza, soda, use of electronics, Lazy Cow Creamery ice cream truck build your own sundae extravaganza, the “candy buffet,” Jackets Jam T-shirt and entry to the Jacket Jam gladiator games and events.
- Grade Level winner (top $ raised per grade) – $100 Visa gift card
- Grand Prize winner (top $ raised overall) – $200 Visa gift card

Our school wide Jacket Jam goal is to raise $16,000. One hundred percent of the proceeds will directly impact our school through the purchase of project-based learning materials, physical education equipment, recess equipment for grade level teachers, and school beatification and environment improvements.
