COOKEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL TO BEGIN SEARCH FOR THE NEXT COOKEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

Cookeville, Tennessee — Principal Dr. Linda Nash has announced that Kevin Bray has resigned as men’s basketball head coach for Cookeville High School Boys Basketball Program.

“We thank him for all of his years of service to CHS basketball athletes and to the program. We wish Mr. Bray all the best and expect that he will continue to be a productive member of the CHS team as he will remain on the faculty as a classroom teacher in our school.”

“Cookeville High School’s goal for our boys basketball program, as well as all academic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs, is to provide our students the greatest opportunities to demonstrate excellence, build physical and mental resiliency, and enjoy the benefits of being an active part of something larger than themselves,” said Nash. “Success of our student-athletes in the classroom, on the court, and in the community are essential to living up to the Cavalier Way.”

During the search and selection process, the CHS Boys Basketball Assistant Coach, formerly under Bray — Matt Hill — will serve as the interim head coach until the position is filled.  All currently planned summer training activities will proceed as scheduled at this time.

The search for the next head coach to lead the CHS Boys Basketball program will begin immediately.  The newly hired CHS executive principal, Mr. Max Petett, will be directly involved in organizing the selection process as well as making the final decision on the new hire.
