Wild Blue Yonder, an Appalachian Americana band, will kick off the Third Thursday in the Park concert series May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Dogwood Park. This is a free event presented by Cookeville Leisure Services and the Cookeville Arts Council. Attendees may use the amphitheater seating or bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available. Third Thursday concerts are also planned for June 20, July 18 and Aug. 15. A different band is featured each month. For more information, call 528-1313.
