Members of the Cookeville Fire Department were given recognization at the last City Council meeting, with the Life Saving Award. They were involved in two different calls requiring CPR be given to the patients involved in the incident. Both survived and were able to leave the hospital thanks to these members.
Lt. Steven Brown, Lt Bill Gragg, Eng. Jeff Emerson, firefighters Joey Smith and Shane Bates each of these received the award.
