Algood Police Make Arrests For Drug Activity

On Monday, July 8, 2019, Officer Joe Harsh conducted a traffic stop for erratic driving. Officer Harsh addressed the driver, Brad Trudel, who consented to a search of the vehicle. Officer Harsh uncovered approximately three (3) grams of Methamphetamine, paraphernalia items including bags and a scale, and a set of brass knuckles, a weapon deemed illegal in the State of Tennessee. Mr. Trudel was arrested for Sale and Delivery of Methamphetamine. Mr. Trudel’s cash and vehicle were also seized in connection with the sale and delivery of narcotics.

On Thursday, July 11, 2019, Officer John BonneCarrere approached a suspicious vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. When he looked inside the cab, he saw two people, one on top of the other, in the cab and what appeared to be a burnt marijuana cigarette in the floorboard. Officer BonneCarrere woke the occupants, River Pomeroy and Holly Morgan, to check their welfare and ask about the burnt cigarette in the floorboard. Mr. Pomeroy proceeded to eat the cigarette in front of Officer BonneCarrere which prompted him to remove both subjects from the vehicle and conduct a thorough search. This search produced almost three (3) pounds of marijuana, paraphernalia items such as pipes and straws, and a small amount of methamphetamine. Both subjects were arrest for Sale and Delivery of a Controlled Substance; Mr. Pomeroy was also charged with Tampering with Evidence. Their vehicle was towed from the scene.
