COOKEVILLE – Country singer Ben Fuller will perform at Dogwood Park’s Third Thursday in the Park concert July 18.

The free show, presented by Cookeville Leisure Services and Cookeville Arts Council, begins at 7:30 p.m. at 30 E. Broad St. Concessions are available.

“Third Thursday concerts are a great way to hear some fine music in the cool of the evening,” Chad McDonald, Cookeville Leisure Services cultural arts superintendent, said.

Fuller, who was raised on a dairy farm in Vermont, learned to play guitar in his college dorm. In 2017, he was persuaded to perform at a local restaurant and, since then, has played shows regularly in Vermont and New Hampshire. In 2018, he left his landscaping career to move to Nashville and pursue his dreams in country music. He was welcomed by Tootsies Orchid Lounge and several other honky-tonks on Broadway, where he performs regularly.

This summer’s Third Thursday in the Park concert series concludes Aug. 15. The band will be announced at a later date.

Attendees may use the amphitheater-style seating in the park or a bring lawn chair or blanket.
